Accessibility Statement — Learn Fittings

Hose Box Inc. is committed to making LearnFittings.com accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Last Updated: June 4, 2026

Hose Box Inc. ("Hose Box," "we," "us," or "our") wants everyone to be able to use LearnFittings.com (the "Site") and to benefit from its free, bilingual educational content about identifying hydraulic fittings and D.O.T. air fittings, including thread types, sealing methods, torque specifications, hose and dash sizing, and related formulas presented through our color-coded Fitting Tiles(R) system. This Accessibility Statement explains the steps we take to make the Site accessible, the standard we aim to meet, the limitations we are still working to address, and how you can reach us if you encounter a barrier or need assistance. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project, and we welcome your feedback as we continue to improve.

Our Commitment

Hose Box Inc. is committed to making LearnFittings.com accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe that clear, well-structured educational information about fittings, thread types, sealing methods, torque specifications, hose and dash sizing, and related formulas should be available to everyone, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. We strive to follow recognized best practices for web accessibility and to design and maintain the Site so that it can be perceived, operated, understood, and navigated by as many people as possible. Accessibility is part of how we think about the quality of the Site, and we work to integrate accessible design into our content and code on an ongoing basis.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG is an internationally recognized set of recommendations, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

At this time, we consider the Site to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some content or some parts of the Site may not yet fully meet the standard. We view conformance as an ongoing effort: as the Site evolves, we test, identify issues, and make improvements, and we work to bring any content that falls short into line with our accessibility goals over time. This statement describes our good-faith efforts and goals; it is not a warranty or guarantee that the Site, or any particular page or feature, is fully accessible or free of barriers at all times.

Measures We Take

We take a number of concrete measures to support accessibility across the Site, including the following:

  • Semantic HTML structure. We use meaningful HTML elements and a logical heading hierarchy so that screen readers and other assistive technologies can interpret the structure and order of content.
  • Descriptive alt text for images. We aim to provide descriptive alternative text for informative images so that their meaning is available to people who cannot see them.
  • Keyboard navigability. We design pages so that interactive elements can be reached and operated using a keyboard, without requiring a mouse.
  • Visible skip-to-content link. We provide a visible "skip to content" link so that keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass repeated navigation and move directly to the main content of a page.
  • Sufficient color contrast. We aim to use color combinations that provide sufficient contrast between text and its background to support readability, including for users with low vision.
  • Responsive, mobile-friendly layouts. The Site is designed to adapt to different screen sizes and devices, including phones and tablets, so that content remains usable across a range of viewports.
  • Fully bilingual content. The Site offers its educational content in both English and Spanish, helping a broader audience access the same information in the language they read most comfortably.

Known Limitations

We want to be honest about where the Site may fall short, so that you know what to expect and can request assistance if you need it. Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include the following:

  • Embedded third-party videos. The Site embeds videos using privacy-friendly hosting (youtube-nocookie.com and a click-to-load Vimeo facade). Some of these embedded third-party videos, and the players that present them, may not yet be fully accessible, and certain captions or controls are provided by the third-party platform rather than by us.
  • Legacy images. Some older or legacy images may lack complete or fully descriptive alternative text.
  • Downloadable PDFs. Some downloadable PDF documents may not yet be fully tagged or structured for assistive technologies.

We are actively working to improve these areas. Content, features, or services provided by third parties are outside our control, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility. If you encounter content that is not accessible to you, please contact us using the information below, and we will work to provide the information you need in an accessible way.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a guarantee

We work continuously to improve accessibility, but the Site is partially conformant and some content or third-party features may not yet be fully accessible. If any part of the Site is a barrier for you, contact us and we will help you access the information you need.

Feedback and Assistance

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of LearnFittings.com. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have a suggestion, or need any content provided in a different format, please let us know:

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five (5) business days. Where you need information that is not currently accessible to you, we will work to provide the needed information in an alternative accessible format on request. Your feedback helps us identify issues and prioritize improvements, and we appreciate you taking the time to reach out.

Compatibility and Technical Specifications

The accessibility of LearnFittings.com relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer or device:

  • HTML

  • JavaScript

The Site is designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers and with commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your browser, operating system, and assistive technology up to date. If a feature of the Site does not work as expected with your particular configuration, please contact us so we can investigate and assist. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the accessibility of the browsers, operating systems, or assistive technologies you choose to use.
